..through the keyhole.....

...this week i had a playdate with my crafty partner in crime

miss lazy daisy jones

...now i don't know about you

but i love a good ol' nosey around other people's houses...

....especially ones that are as inspiring and colourful

and original as daisy's

....around every corner

is something to admire...

....a quirky object..

...a vintage delight...

...an amazing collection...

..and her array of crafting inspirational books

is second to none...

...but what really took my breath away..

(and stirred a little green eyed monster within)

....was her creative space...

....i just had to share it with you....

..for starters just look at her lovely stash....

.....such amazing storage....

(with a vintage laura ashley prairie dress

thrown in for aesthetic good measure!)

***sigh***

...a certain type of girl could go crazy in here....

so much to see....

and love.....

and inspire....

....and...well.....

WANT!!!!!

oops....i just so happened to find this little cutie

sitting quietly in a corner....

....i'm afraid my unbridled joy in her discovery

led to this little lady coming home with me!

....not exactly 'stolen'....

...shall we say 'passionately adopted with kind permission!!?'

....there were quite a few little beauties 

i could happily have snaffled...

....look at this little basket of wooden people....

....the squirrel fell in love with these too of course!

....oh and this lovely doll is made by the talented
'the cat in the shoe'

....such a fabulous and creative space.....

....you see she really can't be a 'lazy' daisy after all !

....the vintage fair is coming to town.....

oh me oh my....

.....look whats coming to a town near me!

miss daisy and i have been counting

down the months,weeks,days...

...and now sleeps....

...it has been organised by elaine

at ted and bunny...

there are going to be lots of amazing stalls

full of vintagey goodness...

...and pearl lowe...

...will be there signing copies 

of her 'vintage craft' book...

i will be wearing my squirrel badge...

          ....and daisy has crocheted

              this little beauty......

....so please say hello if you see us...

(probably hear us first due to excited squealing?)

...and everybody's happy....

...i could get used to this...

...because it has been a lovely, happy week...

....and it's a bank holiday week-end too...

at my hairdressers...

...and promptly cut all my hair off..

...including a rebellious 

little undercut on one side!!!!

(only to be told by my nephew that

'that's for teenagers')

...know what?

he's probably right...

...but i don't really mind....

...it feels good..

(even if it is a bit bonkers)!

....hangover cure.....

...oh dear naughty squirrel...

...unused as you are to gin fizz....

...it is not advisable to drink too many..

...too quickly....

(note to self regarding forthcoming christmas festivities)

...so the day started somewhat shakily..

...with the thought of impending work

not altogether a welcome one...

..but then an unexpected parcel arrived

to distract my thumping head...

...some vintage toadstool decorations,

buttons, material.....

..sometimes mothers do know best...

...and mine had packaged up

some special treats...

perfect timing!

...then a trusty 'melon' arrived!

..she quickly deduced i was not fit

for work...

...and reminded me that ellie

was opening a new shop in dorchester today..

..hurrah for ellie! 

..by this point i was feeling decidedly better!

....so off we went...

...gorgeous christmassy tins...

...and lots of lovely 'jelly jam' treats..

 ...i have been loving this alpine fabric

on ellie's blog for a while now...

...so was excited to invest in a little purse!

....we also visited dorchester's

curiosity centre....

....oh me oh my....

..it's HUGE and FABULOUS....

...and freezing cold!

(thermals and mitts highly recommended)

..we had heart palpitations..

(not alcohol induced)

...and were unusually controlled...

(it being christmas and all that)

..but a £4 chad valley bun...

.. in need of love and affection... 

..and squirrel restoration...

was not to be missed!

(sorry beautiful straw lamb...but i had to be strong)

(probably see you next week if i can't sleep tonight) 

..so as you can tell...

...my cure was a natural one!

...much better now...

......this morning i had a special date with some talented bloggy friends...

....we talked and talked about bloggy things..

...it was such a joy to meet at last...

...and the time flew by....

...fading grace even arrived bearing beautiful gifts for daisy and i...

...i love this gorgeous lavender bag...

...perfect for me....

...even though we had never met before!

...2 lattes later i had a bit of a 

caffeine buzz...

...the excitement of the crafty chit chat

...and the meeting of like minds...

..felt like we had shared a bottle of champagne!

...thank you both for such a special
