is it a bird......? is it a plane.....?

....no it's a badger angel.....
..or rather a 'badgel'...
....you thought it wasn't possible....
...but the badgers have landed....
....with wings....

...the very thing
for your christmas woodland display this year....
...a 'badgel' is just as happy sitting on a shelf...
....perched on top of a christmas tree...
.....or flying high....
...bewitched,bothered and bewildered bernard
can only admire from below in admiration.....
......i think he has a twinkle in his eye
for belinda......
....all available in my etsy shop

ready my deer.......

hurrah......at last....
.....after many hours of backbreaking stitching and thinking and crafting.....

......i do believe i have completed my herd of deer ready to set them free into the land of etsy.......
....it seems silly but i am rather fond of this little gang.....

.....and will be sad to hear their little hooves clip clopping away........

......i even have a slight favourite over the others ..... which one do you like best?

.......the best laid plans......

....well I tried......
.....i had all the best intentions.....
......but heavy half term colds....
.....and a bout of the measles in the house....
...kinda scuppered my plans!
..however i was still determined to
conquer my squirrel-making fears...
...somehow it was scary.....
....I think it was the tail........
...so i left it to the end....(so to speak!)
....and made it a BIG one!
the rest of the week was spent getting better...
.....and making the most of this lovely weather.....
..... sometimes even crafting has to wait...

         ...back to work next week!

...i've started so i'll finish.....

...well that's the plan anyway....
..i have been very busy in my Etsy shop..
...so I need to stock up my shelves again...
....but I also have lots of unfinished projects.....
....like these cute little finger puppet heads I bought on eBay....
...i can't wait to make little bodies for them all
..and give them new life...
..this was my first attempt
But little miss mouse was feeling a little too bloated....
...so she had to go back for some reconstructive surgery....

...and then I found this lovely boy doll...
...who needs some trousers!!
....i have also been wanting to make a vanilla squirrel..
...and inspired by my lovely squirrel stamp
i have started cutting out a pattern today...
(for some reason making a squirrel is scary!?!?)
.....so as you can see there is much to do....
...i'll let you know how I get on!

.....mistaken identity......

...it's funny being a squirrel.....
....because i have always been a bunny...
...as a child i was always 'bugs'
....which later graduated to 'flopsy'!
....i have always collected all sorts
of critters....
...but bunnies have always been a favourite..
...so it is rather strange to now be
associated with squirrels...
....the 'vanilla squirrel' title
came from my own family...
....apparently when i sew i have squirrel hands....
....and 'vanilla' relates to my blonde hair
(and the children thought it was funny!?!)
..well this weekend...
...i went back to my roots...
...and made a bunny...
...i've called her Freya...
..as the fabric was so soft it kept fraying..
....and it was quite a job to put her together!
...i think i will need to
make a squirrel next!
