....and after years spent thinking that commemoration memorabilia was a bit dated....

....i have discovered a new found love for it..

...so I'll keep flying the flag....

...i needed to make a friend for my retro bunny.....

..i gave him a soft cashmere tummy but....

....i was so excited to receive my lovely 'hen's teeth' needlecase this morning.....

...it's adorable and a beautiful work of art..

...my needles will live happily ever after...

..just as i was settling down to do some work......
...i spied some red spotty felt....

....and oops.....before i knew it...
....this little chap appeared!

...work can wait until tomorrow.......!

...this week-end i found something 'orla' that i'd never seen before.....

....and it was something i really

needed.....honest!

...now i can't wait to go to bed ...

a lovely old pinny......

...these were some of my treasures from a happy day of snuffling in the summer.......

.....the gorgeous scottie dog pinny was in quite a sorry state....

...so i made some scottie lavender bags!

....i just wish i had more of this fabric....but i guess that's the beauty of vintage.....

..first and last..............

...this is Binky my first 'Norah Wellings' monkey, wearing a vintage,  hand-knitted, fair aisle sweater with tiny matching shorts.......

....i say 'first' because after my father bought Binky for me, i found other little monkeys that needed a home........ 

...not many people know this about me......but i have a monkey cupboard.......

..this is Libby my most recent addition...

...somebody has lovingly made her a vintage Liberty print dress...:)

..i made this bunny out of a retro pillowcase, a scrap of vintage quilt and a pink lambswool jumper (to keep him warm in this cold weather!)..

.....christmas already.....?!

...scary but true..christmas has

 arrived at 'Liberty's' in London!

..i couldn't resist this toadstool house...not just for christmas i think......

..although this little santa bauble might just have to wait a little........

...definitely an excuse to celebrate with fresh carrots and their favourite book!

......i also followed a special recipe in this book for tasty gingerbread men.....
