get into the groove.........

...what with the mad rush of christmas......
....followed by the misery of all that rain
and the floods.....
....it's no surprise that the january blues
hit hard this year....
(even the dog is feeling sorry for herself!)
....i seemed to hit a creative crater...
...a bloggy block....
...i'd hung up my sewing skates....
...but i am slowly creeping back into my crafting sneakers...

...never one to be beaten...
i turned to my age-old 'pick-me-up' solution.....
'shopping'!!!!!

...a tentative forage in my local charity shop
heralded the start of my recovery...
....a lovely big bag of miniature vintage doilies
for a bargain price
stirred a little tingle in my fingers...
...and a far-off creaking sound could be heard
as my inspiration zone jump-started into action....
...encouraged (and financially assisted)by my husband....
(see.... it must be bad!)
....i invested in this gorgeous maileg bunting...
which has brought colour and joy into my hallway
(it had been suffering from that post-christmas naked syndrome)

....then a visit to etsy led me to
and her adorable shop.....
...and with another happy little delivery from
.....my mojo appeared to be returning....
....resulting in my first makes of 2014.....
now there's no stopping me....
....today i will be channelling pastels
and bunnies!
....and she's off!

  6. Ah, glad to see the creative energy is flowing once again with you! Those doilies are so sweet - I recently spotted a table runner made up of loads of vintage doilies all artfully stitched together, so interesting, methinks I might give it a go! Chrissie x
