...i was so excited to find a gorgeous

sarah moore crafty supplement

with this months country living magazine... 

...i love sarah's beautiful books

and always find them inspiring...

..in fact one of my very first tentative

blog posts was a picture of some SM buns!

...i was lucky enough to meet sarah 

at the eridge decorative living fair

her stall was so pretty (of course)..

..this was a basket of her beautiful buns..

....and kitty's!

i spied with my little eye on instagram

that the lovely henpin

had been shopping with SM....

..not wishing to feel left out in any way..

...i popped in a little order for myself..

(tee hee)

which arrived this very morning!

...some fabulous wallpaper...

 and some amazing vintage eidy fabric....

...all set for a crafty weekend!

..beating the blues......

i always struggle in september...

...the end of the long holidays..

....the children are back to school...

... it takes me a while to adjust

....to the old routine....

...so i'm trying to keep positive this year...

...and fight the blues...

...i found these amazing vintage japanese 

paper decorations in norfolk...

...and was going to save them for christmas..

...but as i was unpacking them last night..

...i decided i needed them now

...to cheer my workspace!

...i then decided to frame some lovely

wrapping paper to hang in a prominent place..

....and with some fresh flowers...

 and a bit of re-jigging....

i think i'm ready for you september!

farewell my summer love farewell...

...it's been fun....

...we've shared good times....

...but we knew where this was heading....

...you know in my heart

i will always want you....

...but we both know you're not what i need...

....and now it's time to say goodbye....

...i will miss you my summer love....

it has been a wonderful summer....

but i'm trying not to notice how quickly time is passing....

and that before we know it we will be back to school...

.....and autumn will be creeping in....

.....those nights are already starting to get dark earlier..

...but we are enjoying some amazing sunsets 

and a bright full moon!

....on my summer travels I have been busy squirrelling

some lovely vintage items.....

...and i have at last got round to some serious stitching too...

...look out for a re- stock of my etsy shop shelves

at the beginning of september!

basket case.......!

..we all love a good basket....

...I know because i've spotted some beauties on your blogs..

...i love the different patterns in the weave...

...the shapes and colours....

 ...but i realised today something else that i love about them...

..it's what you can find inside!

...you can dig out some really scruffy ones....

but like oysters hiding pearls

...you can often discover immaculate satiny insides

lovingly maintained and cherished

...i found this little beauty today...

...very pretty but a bit grubby on the outside....

...but just look inside...it's addictive!

....uh oh....running out of space!

....so our norfolk hols are over...

...and we are home,exhausted....

...with piles of washing to sort...

...and nothing in the fridge...

...but it's always worth it...

...we have had a fantastic time....

...knowing the area well...

...we know exactly where we want to go...

...but a week is never really quite long enough to fit it all in....

....we have visited farmers markets...

...beaches....

..with pony rides...

...driven to little coastal villages...

...with stunning views...

....we have pootled in amazing

 roadside shops....

...just pulling over and spending too much money!

...but in such idyllic surroundings...

...it was very hard to resist....

..one of my favourites has to be

..this wonderful place is a post office,

..cafe, grocery store, gift shop...

...just a little place ..

...but such a fantastic concept..

...brilliantly done...

...this donna wilson bunny 

just had to come home with me...

...we shopped in holt...

...where i was spoilt with this jacket

handmade from vintage fabrics...

...a gift for my birthday...

(love love love)

...and also stopped off in norwich

on the way back...

....and enjoyed some time in the city..

...this is a beautiful shopping arcade..

...and the lovely cobbled streets

make it well worth a visit...

...i can't believe how quickly

time is flying....

....we must be having fun!
